New Year, New Shop, New Blog
Launching a blog on this website has been something that I’ve been wanting to do for the past six months or so. However, whenever I would think about what I would write concerning woodworking and my business, I really didn’t know if anyone would want to read it. Sure, I don’t have a problem diving into an article about what angle a plane iron should be honed to for smoothing figured maple (45 degrees seated in a low angle jack plane), but is that something that the good folks who support my business would find interesting? No. It’s probably not. But I do think that they appreciate wood enough to make it this far into the blog.
I’d like this blog to serve as a platform for folks to get to know about my work, my company, and even a bit about myself. Here’s a little update about all three.
My Work. I’ve been producing a lot of inventory over the past couple of months for the opening of my web store. I’ve got cutting boards, pencil caddies, utensil holders, and coasters that I will be listing shortly.
My Company. I am working on a mission statement for my company currently. I’m hoping to make giving a corner stone of my company by regularly making charitable donations to various causes. My goal is to start by making quarterly donations to charities or fundraisers.
Myself. I am going to be moving from East Orlando to Downtown Orlando over the course of the next month. Although I’m thrilled about giving my tools some additional breathing room, I’m not looking forward to packing them.
I’m very excited to share more about what I’m working on, what I’m doing with my company, and what my company can do for you.
